There’s always been something that I’ve wanted to do, and one of those is designing and making a drone. I thought, maybe it could be a heli based drone, but quadcopters seem to be the most practical way to do something simple without too much complexity.
Of course, there are a lot of people out there who have created some pretty functional drones already, and it’s hard to come up with something unique to do.
So I have an idea — what if I made a micro indoor UAV? Something that is tracked and controlled by a central computer using real time image recognition and a certain amount of spacial awareness?
It might be neat to make a little indoor companion drone that can automatically greet visitors to my place, or welcome me home, or just fly around at random like a bird — minus the constant pooping.
I’m going to have to give this some thought… Wonder if anyone has successfully done this at home themselves….
