A couple weeks ago, I picked up a Traxxas E-Maxx Brushless Edition, and some points that anyone looking to buy this truck should know…
- If you go straight to 6S, you need to make sure your slipper clutch isn’t set too tight.
- Always check your drive shafts for play before and after running your E-Maxx.
- If you’re looking for 6S lipo, I would recommend picking up packs from HobbyKing.com. You can get them fast, and for nearly a quarter of the price of the official Traxxas Packs. Just note that you don’t get the same warranty or replacement policy as Traxxas’.
After a few runs, it seems I blew a bearing in the rear differential, and it partially stripped the pinion and spur gears. New parts are on order.
to be continued….
